This seems as good a place as any to vent some feelings, since nobody follows my blog anyway…

The US election - how do I even begin to describe my horror and disgust at the outcome? I know everyone gets compared to Hitler at least once in their lifetime, but seriously America - did you not pick up on any of the warning signs?

• Demagogue with no political experience - check
  

• Campaign based on making the country great again - check
  

• Promising to round up, deport, (or even execute) practitioners of a specified religious faith - check
  

I’m deeply moved by the protests we’ve been seeing in the wake of the election, but predictably, the protesters are being labelled “anti-democratic” by the emboldened bigots. *SPOILER ALERT* - democracy depends on free speech and the right to protest. Trying to silence the voice of the opposition is the trademark of a dictatorship… oh, I almost forgot, Trump voters were either unaware of how fascism works, or fully support it.

I’m a Brit who lives in the UK. If you’re an American who is afraid and/or disturbed by the prospect of President Trump, I’d like to assure you that everyone I’ve spoken to so far over here shares your concerns.

Please do not be afraid to voice your dissent. I urge you to consider the words of Edmund Burke -  “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”, but PLEASE stay safe!

What is the minimum/maximum number of followers I need in order to proclaim myself a cult?
And are there any additional tax benefits?

My head is filled with conflicting emotions, self-doubt, and self-loathing. Is it the same for everyone, or am I just lucky?
